Well, the countdown continues!  Thirty days from today, you and I will be meeting up in Seattle, Washington to board the beautiful Rhapsody of The Seas for our week long cruise to Alaska! As you prepare for the adventure that lies ahead, here are a few things to keep in mind.

*Theme Nights -  We have one formal night during the week, where you can pull out your best "Black and White".  Tuxedoes aren't necessary for the guys, but if you choose to wear one, you'll fit in perfectly with the Alaskan penguins! Our nightly "After Hours Serenades" (after 10pm) will include  a "Gold Rush" theme...(wear your bling), a "Pajama Party" (with prizes!), a "Back In Time" theme, and for our Night of Classics, don't forget our "Classic and Classy" theme...we will leave one that to your imagination!

*Travel Tips -  Please don't forget that a valid passport is required for all travel outside of the United States, so remember to pack yours as we will be in Canada! And we invite you to check in on-line in advance of traveling to Seattle to make your travel as simple as possible. Weather in Alaska this time of year will likely be warm and mild. But it would be smart to plan for some cool and wet weather as well. I suggest packing in 'layers' that you can put on, or hopefully...peel off!

*Shore Excursions - Alaska is all about what you see, and howyou explore this gorgeous part of the world.  If you haven't done so already, visit the Royal Caribbean's website to book your shore excursions before you embark.  Whether it's whale watching, visiting a glacier, going on a seaplane or even dog-sledding, you don't want to miss a moment.

*Cruise Gear - After many questions and inquiries - YES, we've created some fantastic Cruise Gear available for purchase in advance of our voyage!!  Fleece jackets, sweatshirts and polo shirts by Cutter and Buck are absolutely wonderful and really set the tone for our journey. Available NOW! Please order yours asap so your items can be delivered to you in advance of your travel.  These are all custom made and therefore, unfortunately will not be available on the ship. Purchase Now >>

*Passenger Star Search - more info to follow for those of you wishing to be a part of our onboard talent show, this year dubbed: "So You Think You Can Jam!" Get practicing, because this year's winner will appear as a special guest in my show on formal night. Whoo-hoo! Sign up and get details  when you board the ship in Seattle.

Once again, thank you so much for giving us this wonderful week of your time. We're all so excited to see you and welcome you on board.  And I hope you're excited too because it's going to be one amazing week!  Thirty days will pass in a flash, and we'll all be together to start this wonderful cruise. I can hardly wait. I'll be in touch again shortly, and of course if you have any questions, please give a call (800-225-5759) or e-mail our friends at Flying Dutchmen Travel.

Seeing the world together through music.  That's what it's ALL about...and we're just about there!!  Have a great month, and I look so forward to seeing you on August 26th in Seattle.

Until then, I send my sincere gratitude and all my best, DK.
