First and foremost, we hope and trust you and your loved ones are doing well and staying healthy in this long slog that is 2020. As all of us know, the last six months have been incredibly challenging and I personally want to thank you for your understanding and patience through this unprecedented time we’re all going through. Over the last few months, my team & I have been pushing to get more reliable information to update you on our 2021 sailings, but unfortunately due to the pandemic and COVID-19 protocols still being addressed, we’ve yet to be able to share any concrete details with you. I hope you can forgive us for that, but frankly this is all out of our control, and we are doing the very best we can, given the situation.
As I’ve always stated, the most important thing to me and our entire cruise team is the health and welfare of you, our beloved guests. Sadly, with the current uncertainty around the world, together with the fact that no one knows when it will be totally safe to travel (especially internationally), it pains me to inform you that our 2021 Spain, Morocco & Portugal cruises will not be sailing in their original time period.
After we were forced in March to reschedule our 2020 cruises in Amsterdam & The British Isles, I can assure you that this is the LAST thing we wanted to do…and just like you, my team and I are beyond disappointed. But, the choice was clear–we can never risk putting you in harm’s way. Furthermore, with social distancing and reduced capacity requirements likely to be enforced, there would be no way to produce the type of immersive experience guests like yourself look forward to having with our cruise.
Please know that we have just made this decision and will be working through the details on a daily basis with our partners, Holland America Cruise Line to reschedule these 2021 sailings to 2023. Every effort will be made for these cruises to be scheduled at a similar time frame and location—our hope is to completely replicate our existing cruises, but we are not able to confirm that at this moment. We will do our very best to provide you with more information in a timely manner, but as I am sure you can understand, this is a delicate and highly complex process that takes time, plenty of discussion and intricate strategy. In the meantime, please be aware that there will be no further charges incurred for the 2021 cruise.
On behalf of all of our Artists, Musicians & Crew, Flying Dutchmen Travel and Holland America Line, we want to thank you so much for your incredible support, commitment and generosity of spirit throughout this whole ordeal. We’ve all been through it…but we’re still here, and so are you! Our cruise is truly a family…something I am so very proud of. We all sincerely adore sharing these amazing experiences with you at sea, doing what we love. Once we get beyond this pandemic, we will be back…and bigger and better than ever…that is a promise!! And I sincerely hope to see YOU on deck when that happens. It’d mean the world to me, especially after what we’ve all been through this year.
